BC Comet

Move over Citra, we have a contender growing in Canada! Comet is a PUBLIC hop variety and is providing BC hop growers with a new alternative to power your hop-forward beers.  Our BC Comet is grown by Birchwood Dairy in Abbotsford and is loaded with 3.1% total oil. Comet is unique because it is almost void of Humulene, which downplays its ‘hoppiness’. Instead, maxed out concentrations of Myrcene and Ocimene give our Comet a zesty, pleasant, and powerful aroma. Finally, Comet’s genetic parentage originates from a wild Canadian hop line, giving Comet its characteristic dank funk character.
